Playing Media

Dulst allows extra media files in-game.

Game Audio

Basic gameplay sounds are on the audio page of the admin settings. Click on admin on the top bar, then in the secondary menu's More Admin dropdown click on the audio link.

Game event based audio

Dulst's default templates all come with a series of easy to use preset game events from which to play audio. These events are described in the Rule cards:

To use these presets first open the card you want to play the audio from. Then upload the media files. Next name your files with the corresponding event. As shown in the image above, the available preset events are attackSE, attackedSE, deathBGM, deathSE, invokeBGM, invokeSE, matchInit, powerBGM, and powerSE.

For example, this unit changes the background music when it is invoked and also plays a sound effect when it is attacking.

More specific controls

To create special, card specific audio, or to build new audio rules use the media action in the effect builder.

Use the existing media rules as examples to create new media rules. In most cases it is simply a matter of changing the events and the targeted media name.

Game Videos

Videos can also be played with the media action. Using the media action to play a video plays it in the center of the screen.
