Hi developer! Welcome to Dulst, a platform for card games.
----------------------------------------------------------
If you haven't tried playing any Dulst games, you'll want to see what Dulst can do. Try the tutorial match vs AI by hitting the PLAY button up top. Once you're done, come back here.
### **Resources**
* [Get help on our discord chat.](https://discord.gg/0q1HOSYDXzcJRg7h)
* [Read the Dulst Wiki.](https://dulst.com/dulst/wiki/Wiki-Main-Page)
* Read the template wiki (you're here right now). You can always get back to here by clicking on community then wiki.
### **What is a game template?**
A template is a working game with many features shown and implemented. We recommend starting your exploration with a template. Even if your game is very different from the template, it is easier to change from the template than to start with a blank slate - until you are experienced. The template has numerous cards and examples that you can imitate.
This template called Animal Kingdom is an _almost_ but _intentionally not_ fully fledged game. It has a decent amount of cards that contain effect examples for all the most important effects you may want to make. This game is meant to be used for reference to show off both the ease and power of Dulst. Copy effects from this game to your game. If you started with this template as your basis, then you can individually replace card and card art with your own game's concept.
The simplest thing you can do in the template is to add and change cards. [Go to the cards list.](../cards) Click on a card and start changing its values such as name and health. Don't worry about deleting every card, just change the cards into what you want 1 by 1, leave some cards as default fillers so it's easy to test your changes. Play around with it and have fun. When you feel comfortable, go ahead and start deleting.
**Game Customization**
----------------------
Now it's time to turn the template into your own game.
* Configuring with the [[Admin Settings]]
* Configuring with the [[Rules Config]]
* Configuring the [[Map]]
* Changing the game completely by building rules.
